After a two-year hiatus, CITT/ICTS' welcomed the North American entertainment technology industry back to the Palais des congrés de Montreal on April 13-14, 2022, for Expo-Scène. More than 60 exhibitors filled the show floor, who welcomed over 1,500 industry professionals from the pro audio, sound, lighting, video, audiovisual, and multimedia industries.

"After a two-year pause, we are delighted with the success of Expo-Scène 2022," CITT/ICTS National Coordinator Monique Corbeil tells Professional Lighting & Production. "The show also featured product demos and offered unique educational sessions with the return of the TEC Talks.  It was an exciting and vibrant show, everyone was pleased to be back, in person, to connect and network once again! We are already working on the next edition and we will be looking forward to seeing everyone again!"

During the two days of the show, two TEC Talk rooms hosted educational and professional development sessions from NWC Publisher Jim Norris on the future of live events, audiologist and Sensaphonics Founder Michael Santucci on IEMs,  Dominique Rivard from Vectorworks, Dave Muscat from 3 DOT Technologies on indoor video wall displays, Thierry Roger from Waves Systems on dynamic display and interactive media players, CAST Software’s Stuart Green on creativity and communication, and more.

On the morning of the second, also on offer for Expo-Scene attendees was an exclusive backstage tour of the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier of the Place des Arts.

There were also private demos rooms from Avid, d&b audiotechnik, GerrAudio, and Meyer Sound.

“As the first production industry trade show in Canada post-pandemic, Expo-Scène 2022 had a real sense of reconnection for the industry," CITT/ICTS President Matt Frankish tells Professional Lighting & Production. "CITT/ICTS was pleased to welcome back the returning exhibitors and welcome some great new exhibitors to the show.  The show was very successful and we look forward to continuing that success both next year and at Rendez-vous 2022 in Calgary this August."

The next Expo-Scene will be held on April 13-14, 2023, once again at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
